to Cadore
and crosses Boite passing through the Cibiana
saddle, occupies Venas
and before dawn stops at Valle di Cadore where
he decides
with the help of Venetians and people from Cadore
to face in the open field
the Austrian Emperor Maximillian from Hapsburg
and his troops defeating them after a bloody
battle in the snow.
The war went on and only in 1509
did the Cadore inhabitants defeat the Imperials
definitively giving back the Cadore to Venice
in 1512.
